App
Troop Wave (iOS and Android)
Developer
EMA Labs, Türkiye
Effective date
16 October 2026
In shortTroop Wave has no accounts and we do not ask for your name or any other personal details. Your progress is stored on your device and, if cloud save is on, in your own iCloud or Google Play Games account. While online, the game sends our server a summary of your progress and gameplay counters together with a random player ID; we use them for the weekly league, support, announcements and gifts, notifications and game balance. If you use the support form, your message and, optionally, your email address reach us too. The game shows ads, measures how it is played and reports crashes, and for that it uses Google services. You can delete your data on our server yourself from the game's settings.

1

Data stored on your device and in your cloud account

Your level, gold, upgrades, mission progress and settings are saved on your device. A summary of them is also sent to our server (see section 2). Deleting the app or choosing "Reset progress" removes the data on your device.

If cloud save is on, your progress is also backed up to your iCloud account on iOS or your Google Play Games account on Android. That copy lives in your account; it does not reach our servers and we cannot access it. You can turn cloud save off in the game's settings.

2

Data sent to our server

While you are online, the game sends the following to our server at launch and every few runs:

  • a random player ID generated on your device;
  • platform (iOS or Android), game language and app version;
  • the country code from your device's region setting (such as "US"; it comes from the device's language and region setting, not from your location);
  • the level you have reached and a summary of your progress: gold, upgrades and skins;
  • your number of sessions and total play time;
  • per-level counters of runs started, won and lost, and the number of ads shown;
  • if you allowed notifications, your device's notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging).

We use this data for:

  • In-game league: linking the weekly ranking and rewards to your player ID (see section 3);
  • Support: seeing which version you use and how far you got when you report a problem, and restoring lost progress from this summary;
  • Announcements and gifts: showing in-game announcements for your language and level, and making sure gift codes and announcement rewards are used only once;
  • Analytics: understanding which levels are hard, how much the game is played and whether players come back, and tuning difficulty and rewards accordingly;
  • Notifications: if you allowed them, letting you know about new events and rewards.

Level and ad counters are separated from your ID on the server and added to daily totals across all players. This data is not associated with your name, email or advertising ID, is not used for advertising or tracking, and is not sold. It is stored by our service provider Supabase on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt); while handling a request the server may see your IP address in short-lived logs.

3

Weekly league

When you play endless mode, the game also sends the following to build the weekly ranking:

  • your league name: the name the game generates (such as "Trooper-4821") unless you typed your own, in which case the name you chose;
  • the distance of your longest run that week and the number of monsters you defeated;
  • a reward record if you finish the week in the top three.

Other players see only your league name and score. We recommend not using your real name or anything that identifies you as your league name; we may remove inappropriate names.

4

Support requests

When you use the support form in the game, the message you write, the topic you pick and, if you choose to, an email address so we can reply are sent to our server. Your player ID, app version, platform, language, level and gold are attached automatically. Giving an email address is optional; without one, you see our reply in the game. We use this information only to answer your request.

5

Notifications

After you have played a few levels, the game asks once for permission to send notifications. If you allow them, notifications are delivered by Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging; your device's notification token is stored on our server with your player ID, and we count which notifications are opened. You can turn the permission off at any time in your device settings, after which no notifications are sent. Reminders that the game schedules itself are created on your device and send no data to the server.

6

Advertising — Google AdMob

The game shows rewarded video ads (when you choose to watch one for a free upgrade) and occasional full-screen ads between levels. Ads are delivered by Google AdMob, which may collect:

  • device identifiers, including the advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android);
  • IP address, from which an approximate location is derived;
  • device and app information (model, operating system, language);
  • ad interactions and diagnostic data.

Google uses this to deliver, measure and, where permitted, personalise ads. See how Google uses data from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

On iOS the game may ask for permission to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites so that ads can be tailored to you (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, your advertising ID is not shared; ads are still shown but are not tailored to you. You can change your choice at any time in iPhone settings.

7

Analytics and crash reports — Firebase

To understand how the game is played and to balance its difficulty, we record anonymous gameplay events in Google Analytics for Firebase: a level started, won or lost, an upgrade purchased, an ad shown. Together with these events Firebase collects an app-instance identifier, device and app information and approximate location derived from the IP address.

If the game crashes or hits an unexpected error, Firebase Crashlytics sends a crash report: the lines of code where the error occurred, device model, operating system version, app version, device state such as free memory and disk space, and a Crashlytics installation identifier. We use these reports only to find and fix bugs.

We do not combine this with any information that identifies you. See Privacy and Security in Firebase.

Your choices

  • Deleting your data on our server: open "Player ID & data" in the game's settings and delete your data. Your player ID, progress summary, league name and scores, notification token, gift records and support requests are deleted from our server immediately. Your progress on the device stays; if you keep playing, a new player ID is created.
  • Notifications: turn off Troop Wave's notification permission in your device settings.
  • iOS: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, and Settings › Privacy & Security › Apple Advertising.
  • Android: Settings › Google › Ads, where you can reset or delete your advertising ID.
  • You can play without an internet connection; in that case no ads are shown and no data is sent. Gameplay counters from offline play wait on your device and are sent the next time you are online.

9

Children

Troop Wave is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will help remove it.

10

Retention and sharing

We do not sell personal data and we do not share data with anyone other than the service providers named above (Google and Supabase). Data is deleted automatically after these periods:

  • Player record (player ID, progress summary, counters, notification token, gift records): 56 days after you last opened the game;
  • League scores: after 8 weeks;
  • Support requests: once a request is closed, 180 days after it was sent; if your player record is deleted earlier, your requests are deleted with it;
  • Action logs (records of actions taken by our team, such as restoring progress or sending a gift): after 1 year;
  • Analytics data: up to 2 months in Firebase; crash reports: 90 days in Crashlytics.

Daily totals across all players are not linked to anyone and may be kept indefinitely.
